1.0 Introduction

Unfortunately Jesus was right. But that does not mean we are to stand by and do nothing about it! And Christians have been reaching out with ongoing community outreach programs to help the poor. This proposal looks to help those people who do that helping!

The Life of Jesus coloring book is the first in a series of books designed to offer great value in their own right and which could be used to assist in raising money for Church programs. We tie in a product fully worth the asking price to a program worthy of financial support!

2.0 The Product

The Life of Jesus coloring book is the first in what is expected to be a long line of items which could be used to fundraise on behalf of Christian organizations. Every care was taken to create the highest quality product and offer a flexible program to accompany it.

This book is a giant, high-end product. Our Artist used classic religious paintings to tell the story of Christ’s Life and Ministry. From Carravaggio’s Nativity scene to Reubens’ Resurrection, the book reveals the Greatest Story Ever Told Through the Greatest Art Ever Made!

The book contains some 30 detailed images. These were professionally reformatted and reproduced in an 11” x 17” (Approx. 28cm x 43cm) format. (With Da Vinci’s Last Supper being an amazing 11” x 34” (Approx. 28cm x 86cm) pull-out!)

This work is guaranteed to provide hours upon hours of relaxation and reflection! And, we hope, offer a way of helping unfortunate folk in these challenging times.

3.0 The Program

Churches offer significant and practical assistance to an ever increasing number of people in need. They feed them and clothe them!

Most of these community outreach programs for the poor are usually extremely efficient. They so often manage so very much with so very little! They are not only exceedingly thrifty but rely on the generosity of volunteers. These generous folk not only give of their time but very often from their own cupboards!

3.1 Steps

This initiative is designed to raise the comfort level for program volunteers and administrators by providing them with a new and stable source of revenue. Here is how it works:

Step 1: Initial printing paid for by sponsors and, we hope, contributors to this crowdfunding initiative.

Step 2: Find a Church in need of support for its community outreach program.

Step 3: Train for and initiate a sponsorship campaign by soliciting help from Church members and the Church’s community partners.

Step 4: Organize sales campaign for the Life of Jesus coloring book.

Step 5: Pay monies over to the credit of the Church’s community outreach program.

Step 6: Acknowledge participation in following year’s sale of both the Life of Jesus and the new Dramatic Scenes from the Old Testament coloring books.

3.2 Seeding the Program

Through this Fundly Crowdfunding initiative we hope to raise enough money to fund the initial printing and distribution of the Life of Jesus book. In doing so we - and that includes contributors - will be seeding a much wider initiative. Using the profits from this initial offering we can fund the printing of more books and offer the program to an ever increasing number of Churches and Community Groups.

3.3 Why Pay for the Iniitial Printing

Churches are normally reluctant to invest in this type of novel program. And who can blame them? Putting out ‘up front’ money is a challenge due to a lack of resources and a need to address a host of competing priorities.

By NOT asking participating Churches to front the initial production costs we clearly encourage participation. And once the program is launched and followed its features assure a sustainable source of cash from one year to the next. We believe this format takes away most concerns.

4.0 Creating a Sustainable Program

We have noted on a number of occasions that this initiative could fund community programs for years to come. This is accomplished by a straightforward strategy. We simply reserve a portion of the sales price and credit that sum to the following year’s purchase of books. Again, this sum is thus held for the benefit of the Church in order to obtain more product in the future. When repeated from year to year we create that sustainable fundraising program!

4.1 Some Numbers

Here are some numbers to illustrate the points noted above. Assuming the book sells for $25 then $5 per sale of each book would be credited to the purchase of future editions of Christian Coloring Books. While the Life of Jesus book will remain available it is anticipated that a second volume will be ready for sale in 2023. Using the same method we are already selecting classic paintings for the book Dramatic Scenes from the Old Testament.

4.2 Sponsorships

The book is designed to feature fifty (50) business card sized notes. These could be sold at the outset of the program.

The sale of these sponsorships at $200 per would bring in as much as $10,000. Along with the profits from the sale of, say, 1000 books in a whole year could bring in as much as $20,000 per Church!

And all started by the generosity of Fundly contributors!

5.0 Our Goal

We wish to raise $25,000.00. We propose to use this money in the following manner:

Printing $10000

Payment to Artist $5000

Marketing and Promotion $5000

Travel and Accommodations $5000

Total $25,000

6.0 Contributor Recognition

We appreciate the generosity of each contributor and we propose offering the following tokens of our appreciation for contributions of $50 or more:

Copy of the Life of Jesus book
Copy of the Dramatic Scenes from the Old Testament book
Right to designate a Church or Community Organization as a priority participant and partner in this program.

7.0 Other Causes

Our preferred thrust for this project is to support community programming which assist the less fortunate in our communities. But we recognize that Churches are involved in other worthwhile initiatives. This program could be of help in funding these different initiatives. These could range from renovation projects to the purchase of new hymn books.

8.0 Summary

This project seeks to offer a product which would be of interest to any number of purchasers in its own right. Our hope, however, is to offer this product as a tool to raise money for local community programs.

Our own preference would be to help programs such as a soup kitchen but we recognize that other worthy causes could be advanced with these funds.

Contributors to this initiative will help launch an program with the potential to raise a ton of cash and help people for years to come.

9.0 Conclusion

The Life of Jesus colouring book is an expertly devised work of art in its own right. The book is of interest to a broad range of individuals be they bible students or art students. It guarantees hours of entertainment.

The Life of Jesus coloring book is the first offering for what is expected to be a wide range of similar products. All of which will be available to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters!
